Proposal Writing (Continue)

I will talk about two things today :

1) Writing proposal for PACT (PART 1)
2) Log Frame (PART 2 )

Have you heard about PACT? It stands for Project for Agriculture Commercialization and Trade (PACT). It provides a lots of grant money to the farmers and entrepreneurs every year. PACT call for proposal every year. And many people are interested in applying for that. Usually, people lack the idea of writing proposal so they will ask someone like you guys to help them to write proposal. I used to get a lots of request from my relatives who were interested in submitting proposal.

On my previous lecture you saw a sample of the proposal. It generally includes:

  1. Introduction
  2. Rationale
  3. Previous findings (literature review)
  4. Objectives
  5. Methodology
  6. Beneficiaries
  7. Assumption
  8. Budget
  9. Gnatt Chart
  10. Logframe

But, these days most of the organization have their own format. You simply have to fill in what they ask. They want your answers to be short and specific. So, I have attached a PACT sample proposal guideline. My plan was to fill the whole proposal so that you could use it later when you need to write one. But that was taking too much time. So, I have filled few answers. Basically, just look at the format. And try to imagine what could be the best answer to every questions they ask. If you become able to answers to all the questions in a convincing way then you can write any type of proposals by yourself. So, try it. In Nepal, people will certainly ask you to help to write proposal for PACT or any other organization someday. Hope this sample guideline will prepare you for that.
